StrumClub's Virtual Summer Guitar Camp for Ages 8 to 12
A Live Online Guitar Camp Kids Love!
Our fun and immersive 5-day course is designed just for beginners ages 8 to 12. No experience necessary!
Students will learn the basics of guitar with fun lessons and activities in small, engaging classes. Our expert, friendly instructors will guide campers through chords, playing technique, strum patterns, music notation, and lots more. This foundational course culminates in a Friday mini-recital where students show off what they’ve learned!
Each week-long camp will meet in 45 minute sessions every day, M-F, in our secure virtual classroom.

Meet Your Instructor
Sam Kim, (B.Mus, M.M.Ed.)
Sam Kim is a New York City-based singer-songwriter and music educator, with a passion that spans across instruments and styles. Sam’s musical journey began as a young classically-trained pianist, and has extended through his Bachelor’s-Master’s Dual degree program at Macaulay Honors College at CUNY Hunter College. He instructs students of all ages on guitar, piano, drums, and bass in a variety of styles. In between studying and instructing, Sam composes, produces, and writes his own music.

Course Overview and FAQ
Students will learn:
● How to identify the parts of the guitar and their functions
● How to hold a guitar and pick with the proper technique
● Identify and play notes on the first two strings
● Perform short songs by reading tablature notation
● Hold and strum basic chords

We love working with kids and beginners! You don’t need any experience to join StrumClub. Our experienced, friendly instructors make learning fun from the very beginning.
Cancellations 7 or more days before camp start date will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than 7-days before start date will receive StrumClub credit equal to half camp tuition. Cancellations less than 24-hours before camp start date will receive no refund. We reserve the right to cancel any ineligible orders without notice.
